Some of the flowers in these pictures resemble lotus, hydrangea, spider orchid, or dandelion. They look very beautiful. But did you know that these flowers are made from animal bones? These "skeletal flowers" were made by Tokushige Hideki, a sculptor in Tokyo, Japan.

Tokushige Hideki made these beautiful "flowers" using bones and fur of frozen mice bought in pet shops. He said that to create these flowers, the dead mice must be dissected, the flesh removed, and then the broken bones must be glued together to make these flowers.

After the "skeletal flower" is made, Tokushige Hideki will take pictures and then find a place with a wide view to bury the flower in the soil. "Flowers are beautiful because they wither." In this way, Tokushige Hideki combines the opposites of life and death, animals and plants, beauty and ugliness, color and black and white, to show the awe and respect for life. Longing for beauty.
