Human anatomy model is a necessary learning tool for medical students. But many people do not know that the world's earliest human anatomy teaching model actually originated in China. In 1027, Wang Weiyi, an acupunctologist in the Northern Song Dynasty, built the first bronze model of acupuncture. Now most of human anatomy models are made of resin rubber, soft silicone, plastic, etc., so do you know the manufacturing process of human anatomical models?

The production of the human anatomy model should start from the nickel mold. Each part of the human body will be made into a separate nickel mold by engineers. For example, the head, heart, arm and so on generally have more than 20~50 different parts, which accurately contain the various tissues and structures inside the human body, and then the human body anatomy model can be made.
First, the craftsman poured the resin into different molds, filled the molds, connected and covered them with another part of the mold, clamped them with a fixture, and then baked them in a 225 degree oven. During the baking process, the metal mold was shaken and rotated, so that the resin was fully spread on the surface of the mold for about 10 minutes before taking out the mold for natural cooling. After cooling, the resin model can be taken out. At this time, the resin model, whether it is the arm, heart or leg and other components, needs to be drilled to release the air inside, and then the workers will color the model. Red represents arteries, blue represents veins, yellow represents nerve tissue, and drawing eyes in black and white is a test of the artist's experience and skill.
Then there is the whole assembly stage, with metal pins fixed into each tissue model to connect them to each other, first install the head and body connection, then put the brain model into the skull model, and then install the muscle tissue model for the arm, the worker will install the biceps model and the deltoid model, and then simply fix it. Finally, the arm is attached to the body with a special metal hook, and then the other muscles are attached in the same way, so that a complete anatomical model of the human body is completed.
